Marlowe Music Week 2009: A few pictures

Posted by HelenEdith on August 15, 2009

Stephen took loads of pictures on the two occasions when he attended a Marlowe Music Week activity. I need to put everything that’s in focus up, but here I’ve selected out a few pictures of me in my pink floral outfit from the Coffee morning; and a couple of pictures trimmed out of the group photos taken prior to the final Full Orchestra session, when I was wearing my red t-shirt.

I seem to be having a bad hair day in some of these. Maybe it’s time to seek professional help and visit a hairdresser… 😕

Website update: Holiday Pictures – October, 2007 – Dales, waterfalls and a floodlit church

Posted by HelenEdith on October 26, 2008

I’ve been busy editing my holiday pictures from last year and have now completed and uploaded the rest of the pictures of our Wednesday activities and all the pictures of our Thursday activities.

We visited a waterfall on each of those days: on Wednesday we saw Janet’s Foss near Malham, which falls into a crystal clear plunge pool; while on Thursday we went to Aysgarth, where the Falls are divided into Upper, Middle and Lower, with water coloured by peat descending over limestone pavements.

Along the way, we took in the scenery in the nearby dales; we saw vibrant red creeper putting on its autumn show on the walls of the pub in Malham; and we stopped to photograph a floodlit church at East Witton.

My pictures are spread out over three linked pages, but they can be individually visited from the following links:

Here are some pictures of interest to be found within these pages:

Entry for January 05, 2008 – 2007 Album for Jessie

Posted by HelenEdith on January 5, 2008

I got my set of 2007 pictures printed and into an album for Jessie and gave it to her when she came for “Christmas” dinner on New Year’s Day.

It’s a mixture of pictures which have some significance to Jessie (even if tenuous like living reasonably close to Biggin Hill) plus a few that I put in because I liked them. I also included a few from our October holiday, as a few good holiday snaps are always worth including!

She also got a double page spread of pictures of Stephen and me this year. There is one of each of us holding an owl at the Working Bygones Show, plus one of Stephen looking wicked which I took on the day we unpacked our new cameras. I took that picture with an old 135mm lens. I do like to mix the old with the new!

I think Jessie’s favourite picture from the 2007 album may be the Royal Red budleia, so that is what I’ve shown here.

If you want to see the whole album, click here.

Website update: India pictures

Posted by HelenEdith on June 24, 2007

I have just completed the section in my website devoted to the pictures I took last year when I visited India.

I’ve supplemented them with a few pictures of souvenirs and gifts and think the whole thing hangs together!

The picture I’ve displayed at the top of this blog entry was taken at the Jai Guru Dev Temple on the way from Delhi to Agra.

The whole mini-site can be accessed here: Helen Stephenson’s India Trip – June-July, 2006 – Index.

If you’ve seen the pictures I published earlier, start from here: Helen Stephenson’s India Trip – June-July, 2006 – Shopping. You will see a few pictures again, but you’ll see what I actually did buy when I didn’t buy a carpet!

My Taj Mahal pictures are near the end of the mini-site.

The other page you really must visit is the page of pictures taken at the National Railway Museum in Delhi. There are some real gems on that page, including this one:
